JULY 29th 2006

We were at the baseball stadium twice! First time was in late June. It was for the promotion for our movie. Our young son in the movie, Aaron Yoo threw the first pitch, He did quite well! We went to support the home team Utah Bee's. It was the first time for me to go to a baseball game in U.S. It really is different from Japan.
This AAA league game was so friendly to the audience. I bought myself some cracker jacks! It was perfect for the baseball game!
Anyways, approaching the 7th game, the Bee's were loosing. So our turn has come! We, the casts of "The American Pastime", were to get on the stage and sing " Take Me Out to the Ball Game".You would not know how many nights I rehearsed by myself to memories this song. My 2 sons in the movie were always off tune and Masatashi kept saying that he is going to fake the whole song! So dear old me had to take the whole responsibility.
Yes! I sang out loud! Then to my surprise, Utah Bee's won the game with three run home run at the very end!
Our producer, Barry Rosenbush, said that I was the "Goddess of Victory"!
I , though, think it was just a coincidence. Hahaha

That song is still ringing in may head.
"Take me out to the ball game take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and cracker jacks
I don't care if they never come back....."

Then we went again to the stadium on the 4th of July to support the Utah Bee's. It was the great day of America, The Independence Day. We really wanted the Bee's to win this game.
Gary Cole, Billy Burrell in the movie, threw the first pitch. And we all sang the song " Take Me Out to the Ball Game". But to our regret, the Utah Bee's lost to Las Vegas. Well, but the magic worked for the weather! It was suppose to rain that night but we held it up! And the audience enjoyed the fireworks. It was beautiful....
