The precocious little girl in my house, Pearl, the puppy, has grown. She is three months old now. When she first came, she was a real baby of just 50 days old, but she is now a very clever bright girl. West Highland Terriers are known for being very playful, and her recent favorite game is "figure of 8 sliding." I know you are wondering what this is. (Ha ha ha.)
There is this bone-shaped toy made of pink material that Pearl likes, and while I hold one end of it, Pearl holds on to the other end with her mouth. In that condition, I pull Pearl in a large figure of 8. At first, she runs around on her feet, but from halfway on she starts to slide on the carpet with her front and hind legs thrown out. Just like a baby seal. However, my mother says it looks like I am wiping the carpet with a mop. After this "figure of 8 sliding," I am soaking wet. Pearl is panting as well. We both drink a lot of water, and Pearl rests herself on her stomach on the marble of the entrance hall.
I should think she would get very hot after being rubbed around on her stomach, but again after breakfast today, she brought the pink bone-shaped toy to me. It doesn't at all look like she is going to get tired of this "figure of 8 sliding" very soon.
